There is a difference between “success” and “good success.” A difference between a “wooden home” and a “golden home.” A difference between “treasures” and “valuable treasures.” One can be successful in doing the wrong thing, have a wooden home that can be set ablaze at any time, or even have asset treasures that are not valuable. But the blessings fashioned by the Lord Himself endure and last longer.
Jacob was so disturbed with his current situation that he said all things were against him. But he didn’t know that God was bringing all things to work out for his good.
The grieving time, the traumas of Jacob over his wife and his favorite child he had lost, famine all around him, his son Simeon in prison in a strange land, and he couldn’t even buy more food for his family unless he handed over another of his favorite children to strangers. It seemed his world was crashing down before his eyes, and God’s promises and blessings for him were turning into a curse unto him. But it was the opposite. God was working behind the scenes for his good and not for his destruction.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
The devil is working against the plans of God in our lives, but God is not sleeping likewise. You don’t need to wake God up to work for you before He works for you. He knows His duty as a Father, and He’s doing His best to play it out. We many times think it’s our prayers and works that have gotten us this far, yet it is not. It is the Lord who doesn’t sleep, who doesn’t retire, who doesn’t take leave, who has helped us consistently even without our efforts. That’s why we need to pray and trust Him in the process.
Patience in trusting the Lord, even though you cannot see Him nor the solution in sight, is needed for victory in our journey. Trust that He loves us and cares about each of our burdens and pains. He is never far but closer to anyone who needs to be comforted. The doctor will never distance himself from his patient; he cares about their life and family.
No one would ever believe that Sarah could bear a child even though her season for childbearing had passed. Even Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist, was an old woman. But there is a God in heaven who can do all things at any time He chooses to. He makes and remakes seasons at will. He’s not bound within the jurisdiction of time and seasons.
Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, was lame in his legs, and all chances to ever eat at a noble table, let alone the king’s table, were nowhere in sight or even in mind. But when the Lord opened his door, even his lameness didn’t stop his elevation. Joseph was a prisoner in a strange land, and the chances of getting out were so slim because he had nobody to help. He would have wanted just to get out of prison, that would have been his blessing, but he didn’t know that God had more plans for him, even far greater than what could ever cross his mind.

God has a plan for you, you just need to trust Him and keep praying.
