“For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.”- Job 14:7-9
There is never a circumstance without hope, nor is there a problem without its solution. Often, we do not know what we need to do or God’s plans concerning our losses. But hope is faith, even in what we do not see or understand. Holding on to the words of the One who is faithful and prayerfully making our worries known to Him, there is no chance of you being ashamed. Without faith, there is no hope, because hope is an expectation of something great. Those in hell have lost the ability to hope because they have reached their final destination, but you still have the chance to determine your end, to hope, to trust, to have faith. Lazarus had little while the rich man had everything, but there was a change of story at the end of life. Put your hope not in perishable things but in the promises of an imperishable inheritance. Hold on to the One who has made you the promise, for even in this world, He shall take care of you. Do not lose hope; let it burn in you as you fellowship with the Holy Spirit every day.
