Our Game
The football Game represents the clash between heaven and hell, the kingdom of heaven against the kingdom of darkness while the field is the earth, with the players acting as agents for their respective realms. The ball is the influence of the kingdom of men and the goals are the souls of men and the goalpost guarded by the kingdom of darkness is the gates of heaven, they prevent souls from entering. The goalpost guarded by the kingdom of God is the gates of hell, they prevent souls from entering there.
Our Coach
God [The Referee] plays by the rules for a fair match in the soul league, limiting fouls and instructing the players to refrain from any. He engages in the game with righteousness and truth, involving players from every race and tribe on Earth, just as the ball is a blend of both white and black. Jesus is the Coach of the Christian Team, he trains, builds and buy players (through his blood) from all around the world.
“Our Coach doesn’t use all his key players simultaneously, but he always has reserves for the players on his battlefield. God has many substitutions for his players, and He knows the best time to remove and replace every player at the right moment. While some players may be labeled as benchwarmers, they serve as reserves and replacements, stepping in when those on the battlefield grow weary. By calling the Coach for help when wounded, he sends his medics (Angels) to treat (minister to) his players.
Each player has their designated assignments, holding their posts and fulfilling their duties. Some are meant to defend, preventing weakened souls from entering hell, while others are tasked with striking, spiritually motivating souls toward the gates of heaven.
Our Opponent
The devil is a cheat who doesn’t play by the rules. He creates distractions and diversions, instills fear in players to force them to retreat, steals their uniforms and boots to discourage them, and poisons their waters to weaken them. As a result, many Christian players fall out due to sickness, ignorance, and deaths.”
This is a match that never stops playing, persisting until death. Hence, there are numerous substitutions to replace any players who fall out. The rules of the game are clearly laid out in the Christian Bible, and players are expected to abide by them until the game concludes.
