Thanksgiving’s Victory

Thanksgiving’s Victory

I can see with the eyes of faith the fearless faces of the dancers and worshippers at the frontline, filled with joy, faith, confidence and assurance because the Lord had spoken. No fear in their eyes, faces or countenance but every song was inspired by the joy of the Lord, hope and confidence in the power of the God spoken of by their fathers. I can see the soldiers joining in to make beats with their swords and shields, carried away by the music, laying down their offense because the battle is the Lord’s. I can see the king laying down his crown as he dances with all joy and overconfidence as the music gets sweeter.

The secret method to increase faith at short notice is by thanksgiving.
How born-again believers must see every battle is with the mindset that the battle is not ours. Praises and thanksgiving are our strong weapons.

The more we thank God through worship, praises, selfless sacrifices and prayers for the things He has done the more our faith is lifted up above our situations. The more we will realize the greater things the Lord has done in the past and the more we delve deeper the more our faith increases. Thanksgiving is a selfless offering, putting aside our selfish desires that we always carry and giving God the glory and worship He deserved and deserves. This is the atmosphere where we put aside the dangers we are afraid of, the sickness, the fear, the disappointments, the shame, the humiliations, the lack, and we just take the time to bless the name of our Savior, our Father and our Provider. With the mindset that even if we don’t see any result currently, He is still in control, He is still Lord and worthy to be praised.

There is faith in joy, confidence and complete trust. Joy in the Lord is a faith producer and a weapon to remain at our stance. The enemy hates it when we are not moved by the arrows he throws at us. This is why joy is part of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. We are to produce it at all times. It brings a calm during wars and lack, it gives hope even when all hope is gone.

The children of Israel were afraid of the great war coming against them and they sought the Lord, but the Lord told them the battle was never theirs.
2 Chronicles 20:21–22
And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth forever.
And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

Renew your mindset to praise God not just because you want something from Him, but because He is worthy of the praises over everything He has done. God is omnipotent, meaning He can do all things, even what we call impossible.

Keep yourself in this atmosphere. No matter how reality drags you out, drag yourself back in. The atmosphere of worship, thanksgiving and praises is the atmosphere of heaven that bring victories.
