A better life is coming. A man who has a reason to keep going is difficult to retire. A new season will come, the season of peace. Yesterday is gone with all its mistakes and regrets; today is for trusting, waiting, and working for a better tomorrow. The best years are still ahead. You are already in the movie, and God has prepared a happy ending for you in the script.
Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
The night cannot hold the sun from coming up; so also, the plans of God for you cannot be hindered. A better life is coming. We may not see it now or feel it, but that doesn’t mean it’s not in progress. God has a plan for you and me, and as the teacher that He is, He won’t tell you all the things you will face or endure. But by faith, our heart should rest on him knowing that though the night may tarry, the sun will surely rise. No matter what has been lost, it will surely be recovered.
Habakkuk 2:3 – “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
There may be many places one has hoped to be, or heights to reach, or things to have, and hope may seem to faint and be forgotten. But let us be reminded that it’s not over. The night may take 12 hours to start and end, but the sun will still rise. We need to trust God, for He can make all things well and better.
Life is always progressing, and needs never end, a new need after every fulfilled one. And yet, the Lord will not stop helping you to receive His blessings. Waiting is not denial; it is preparation.
God is still working; He is not sleeping. Faith is the treasure of a believer, because it holds hope for the future.
Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
