A cry in the heart that yearns to be used to build the kingdom of God is a heart that longs to see God’s kingdom on earth. God can use me too. He can use you too, even if I feel inadequate for His service. To stand and serve God, not for the glamour of it, but because you truly want to serve your Master, is a noble calling. God can use anyone who makes themselves available for service. He searches the heart and gives strength for the task.
1 Samuel 16:7
“But the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.’”
Many times, we think only certain people are chosen and that others are unfit or unusable, but that is not true. God created everyone for His glory and His service. All men were made for a purpose, for service. Adam was made to oversee the garden of God. Man was not created for self-seeking glory or a self-sustained destiny, but to serve God, just like the angels.
Isaiah 43:7
“Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”
We no longer live in the era of the Old Testament where only specific individuals could serve as priests before the Lord. We have all been called into the royal family of priesthood and have been rebranded in the identity of Christ to stand before the Father and serve.
1 Peter 2:9
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
The Lord will use anyone who sanctifies themselves and makes themselves available for service.
