It was never to seek success, blessings, miracles, healing or promotions first but to anchor ourselves with the Lord and let Him take care of those things.
“We don’t place the cart before the horse, instead we place the horse before the cart” – W.F. Kumuyi.
When we put God first, He will drive the cart of our life.
Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
We don’t pull the horse of God using our own cart, our own brain or self power or wealth… we won’t get to the destination.
But when Jesus pulls our cart, He rides us to His provisions, His will, His desired places, His goodness, His way, His healing, His love and lastly, His Father.
The only thing that gets us to our destination is to seek His righteousness only… seeking Him will attach our cart to His horse automatically and He takes the leading by Himself, we are just a passenger.
Putting God first doesn’t mean we won’t work for food or study or get a job or a business but it means we allow God to be the leader, planner, and Captain of the cart. As He inspires us on what to do, we remain in His righteousness as He takes the lead.
Let go of your pulling of the cart by yourself, seeking for success, blessings or healings or miracles… anchor yourself to His horse of righteousness and remain there and let Him drive you to His own desired will.
I’ve anchored in Jesus,
The storms of life I’ll brave,
I’ve anchored in Jesus,
I fear no wind or wave,
I’ve anchored in Jesus
For He hath pow’r to save,
I’ve anchored to the Rock of Ages.
