Go Up!

We are able to go up
And take the country,
And possess the land
From Jordan to the sea.
Though giants may be on
Our way to hinder,
Our God has given us the victory.

1 Samuel 30:8 (KJV)
“And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.”

We are able to possess our inheritance as we trust in God without doubting Him in any way. Even though giants of problems, trials, issues, lack, delay, fear, temptations, circumstances, and sicknesses may try to hinder us, God has surely granted us the victory.

It’s not about the size of the mountain, but the size of our God. Not about the strength of fearful thoughts, but the power of God’s Word. He is bigger than any problem, and He is able to give us victory as we trust and obey.

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” – Psalm 20:7

We must acknowledge that there is a problem, a war, and a mountain but we depend and rely on God to bring down every mountain. Joshua fought many battles and won every one when he and the people stood with God without doubting. Wars will always exist, but we have a promise of victory through Christ Jesus.

There is no fear! No timidity! Do not be afraid of their faces! For it is the Lord Himself who goes ahead of us to recover the land. The Lord has given them into our hands, and He has given us the victory! We shall recover all that the enemy has stolen, taken captive, and we shall recover our land and our treasures!
