“An arrow shot to cause harm, depression, or hate can be turned into a harmless flower through the energy of peace by the Holy Spirit.”
Proverbs 15:1 – “A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.”
It’s a spiritual disarming skill working hand in hand with patience, calmness, kindness, and forgiveness, that helps in breaking the arrows shot by deliberate or indeliberate words or actions of others.
Colossians 3:12–13 – “Put on therefore… kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another…”
Turning arrows into flowers is a spiritual skill done through the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. Turning hateful words into loving responses. It brings a cure to a virus and brings healing to both sides.
A fully ripe believer controls his or her own mind through the Holy Spirit, ensuring to filter the heart daily and disarm arrows through discernment.
Many times, many arrows are not arrows but are perceived to be. Words are spoken but unintentionally causing harm. The energy of peace of the Holy Spirit, when active, helps to moderate the situation and bring light, understanding, and enlightenment to the mind, completely neutralizing the effect of words or actions sent to cause harm.
Luke 6:27–28 – “Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.”
We are not called to send arrows for arrows, but to receive persecutions without the intention of avenging. Many times, it isn’t easy at first, but it gets easier to do with constant practice and submission to the Holy Spirit in hard situations.
Many times, we don’t know what others are thinking or what they meant, or the full intentions of the heart. But even if it is fully revealed, only goodness can overcome evil; only love can conquer bitterness.
Romans 12:21 – “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”
May the peace of the Lord through the Holy Spirit keep abiding and flowing in and around you, in Jesus’ name.
