Emotional Intelligence

Galatians 6:2: “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”

Emotional intelligence is the ability to understand the feelings and state of mind of another without them relating it; it’s a mental insight progressively generated in one’s spirit. It’s a helpful discernment in holding firm others, supporting their self-esteem, helping with their weaknesses, relating to their struggles, and providing an encouraging stronghold for them during their lowest times. It is a gift of the Spirit to discern when others are weak and in need, to know what to do to avoid destroying the faith, optimism, passion, and self-esteem of another, and how to overlook their wrongs without religious persecution. It is the mother of all forgiveness and the father of all compassion and support.

This gift is given by the Holy Spirit for the children of God to know how to relate well with others. It offers divine understanding through love, activates long-suffering, develops patience, generates wisdom to keep lasting relationships, and produces compassion even for one’s enemies. It is a state of mind of divine wisdom. When you have this intelligence, seeing sinners perishing will not generate hatred, bitterness, or enmity towards them. Knowing quite well that they are in bondage to the devil, your approach will always be from a loving heart.
