Dear Parents and Beloved Children,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Today, let us embark on a journey to discover the incredible truth that even the tiniest among us can be mighty warriors in God’s Kingdom. Just as David faced Goliath with unwavering faith, your little ones can stand strong in God’s armor.
Ephesians 6:10-11 (KJV) says, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
1. The Belt of Truth:
Teach your little ones the importance of truth. Help them understand that just as a belt holds everything together, God’s truth holds their lives together. Share simple truths from the Bible, like “God loves you,” and “Jesus is our friend.”
2. The Breastplate of Righteousness:
Encourage your children to do what is right, even when it’s tough. Share stories of heroes in the Bible, like Daniel and his friends, who stood for righteousness. Remind them that God’s love makes them righteous.
3. The Shoes of Peace:
Help your little warriors understand that God’s peace is like shoes that keep them steady. Encourage peaceful actions and loving gestures. Share the stories of Jesus calming the storm and encourage them to bring peace wherever they go.
4. The Shield of Faith:
Teach your children to trust God no matter what. Faith is their shield against the doubts and fears that may come their way. Remind them that God is always with them, just like He was with David against Goliath.
5. The Helmet of Salvation:
Speak to your children about the incredible gift of salvation through Jesus. Help them understand that just as a helmet protects the head, salvation protects their hearts and minds. Share the joy of knowing Jesus with them.
6. The Sword of the Spirit (Word of God):
Encourage your little ones to love and read the Bible. Help them memorize simple verses that can be their “swords” against challenges. Share how Jesus used Scripture when tempted in the wilderness.
In closing, remember that your children are not just children; they are warriors in God’s Kingdom. As they put on the whole armor of God, they are equipped to face the challenges of life with the confidence that comes from knowing they are loved and protected by their heavenly Father.
