At the End

1000 years back, many powerful kings and men were around, luxurious women but where are they now? Gone. The world never offered an everlasting stay, nor power, nor wealth; it fades like dust. Many run to and fro, seeking to be known, to enjoy, to be known for being significant in a lost world, a sinking ship, a collapsing house. But in many years to come, they will look back on what doesn’t really matter.

A lifetime pursuing a perfect life, a perfect body, a perfect education, a perfect home, a perfect job, running around, boasting, and impressing the community, friends, family, and strangers. A lifetime spent trying to prove a point. But in the end, to realize that all of it never mattered.

“At least I’m better than that person,” you would say in your heart.
But in the end, only to be awaited by the truth that nothing you have ever lived for remains as a record that matters after death.

Take a look at the morgues, lifeless bodies there. Where have they gone? Somewhere? Old, young, teens, all with purposes and futures, yet they seem to have gone somewhere.

Looking at thousands of religions, all trying to prove that theirs is unique, a confused state of men. But yet all die and no one knows where their head of religion went to spend eternity, all hoping it would be the place they were told.

Now here comes a generation of believers who believe that a man hanged on a cross saved them. And is this true? The man spoke about it, he said he was born for it, he spoke on how it would be and he did it. No one in history has ever done that, born to die for others. Knowing the cost and yet willing to take it. He really wanted to be sacrificed for his friends, his brothers, his sisters, whom he loved. He spoke about it, many prophets spoke about it and even spirits that make men possessed fear his name. Then he is not just a man, not an ordinary man. He said he came on an assignment, that he was sent. By who? The God of the universe. He said he is his father. And he also said he is the way, the truth, and the life.

Now I want to offer you a way out of these troubles and heartaches, that no matter your lot and portion in this life, this life is not the end. There is more and a new one where you can start again. How do I know for sure? Because it is here on earth, a new life in Jesus where you are reborn into a new person with a new purpose. No longer that old person but a new. And one day, a new kingdom will come and this old world of competition and worries will fade. Give up your fading pursuit and seek Jesus with all your heart and you shall find your peace at the end of all ages. This is a promise.
