Why Pray?

Don’t be offended; offenses will surely come. “Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me” (Matthew 11:6). Expectations not met, prayers going unanswered, and many left feeling the pain of betrayal, abandonment, rejection, needs not met, miracles not coming…and the thoughts of holding back from God start filling in…after all my services and sacrifices…why? I’ve been so faithful; I’ve been doing everything He said; I stood for His cause, but when it came to my turn, He seems to stand at a distance. Why do I feel I’m always alone during my own cause? Does He not care? I just want to tell you the truth, He cares; He truly does and He loves you so much; please don’t hold back.

John was offended, as stated in Matthew 11:3, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?” If truly He was the Messiah, why should I still be here? Might have been the thought in his heart. Jesus understood and later answered, “Blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me” (Matthew 11:6).

It’s very hard to swallow sometimes when you know someone you serve has the power to do something but He’s not doing it despite all your efforts. Offenses will come, and many will backslide, as stated in Matthew 24:10, “At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other.”

Note: But i tell you this, don’t be offended, your answers are on the way. Your miracles will soon be given unto you, keep praying.
